who are you when you are not watching tv or movies? when you aren’t playing video games or reading a book or fanfiction or listening to music or whatever other kind of media that you engage with? who are you when your mind isn’t in another world or story, when you are forced to sit with yourself and the only experience you have is your own sensorial life? can you define yourself outside of what you consume? who is that person? do you like them? can you bear it? can you bear it?
Do you ever read a fic, enjoy it greatly and once finished, you press the kudos button, only to find out that you have already left them before but you have no memory of ever reading the fic before?
pour one out for all those fic readers who found one author who wrote one really good fic for their fandom then clicked on their profile to find they wrote exactly one fic for that fandom and the rest for, like, csi or something
book depository closing is not about small bookshops and fucks up readers, at least from latam, in a way you cannot imagine. we get 1% of books the rest do and there’s no fucking way to buy them. book depository was so acsesible for us, and hear my word closing it the only thing that will do is raise pirating.
